Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Mark’s initiation into entrepreneurship and real estate commenced well before formal education began. Immersed in the family’s real estate and construction businesses, he gained an early appreciation for the nuances that came with business ownership, especially seeing it firsthand from his father. His father’s work spanned from crafting a diversified portfolio of houses, multifamily, hotel, and self-storage development, to developing a large residential development.
Being involved in the various family businesses from a young age (as soon as he could walk and hold a broom, they had him cleaning up job sites), Mark established an unparalleled foundation in both real estate and entrepreneurship. This early exposure was not merely about acquiring skills but embedding a principle that has guided his career: the unwavering commitment to honor one’s word. Growing up in a small town of only a few thousand people, he learned that integrity and reliability are paramount, a principle that has led to and continues to lead to the success and growth of his various businesses today.
Mark started on his personal real estate journey while just a sophomore in high school. Purchasing his first investment property wasn’t merely an investment—it was the start of something that would turn out to change the trajectory of his life and be the best decision he ever made (besides marrying his wife, who he actually started dating also as a sophomore in high school). By the age of 18, he had fully immersed himself in real estate full-time by doing fix and flips. He would eventually get both his real estate license and loan officer license and build a company that would be involved in over 300 transactions annually.
The early years were defined by rapid growth and diversification, which has led to his involvement in over 1,000 transactions. This period was also a masterclass in resilience and adaptability, as he steered through the most tumultuous ups and downs the real estate market has ever witnessed. This has provided him with a wealth of experience in capitalizing on the dynamic opportunities that market fluctuations can present. Through all of these experiences, it solidified his conviction that acquiring rental properties is pivotal for generating generational wealth not only for himself but also for helping others.
Mark’s focus now is on leading a dynamic team to uncover and capitalize on off-market, value-add opportunities within various key sectors of the real estate market. This endeavor is underpinned by a commitment to strategic growth, encompassing both the judicious long-term holding of assets and the execution of profitable exits, a strategy that has consistently fostered the expansion and profitability of his personal portfolio that now exceeds over 100 buildings consisting of single-family, multifamily, and self-storage.
At the heart of this has been the orchestration of a vertically integrated operation that spans property management, construction, and private lending. The strategic advantage behind each of these companies is a large investment in proprietary technologies through the development and application of custom-developed software and technologies. This drives the operational efficiencies to achieve significant cost savings, which in return increases the value of not only his investments but each business itself.

Adam embarked on his real estate investing journey seven years ago through an out of state purchase of a turnkey single-family property in Omaha, NE from a real estate investor who 2 years later became his long-term business partner and co-founder of our real estate investment fund, Cherrypick Capital. This initial single-family investment, quickly blossomed into a passion, guiding Adam to assemble a noteworthy portfolio valued at over $12 million. Highlighting his investment acumen are five multi-family properties, encompassing roughly 120 doors, short term rentals, and a self-storage facility, reflecting his ability to identify and leverage opportunities in the real estate market.
Parallel to his success in real estate, Adam has made significant strides in the technology sector. With an impressive track record since graduate school, he has been at the forefront of leading global business development organizations within technology companies, specifically those focused on custom industrial automation machinery. His role in these organizations underscores his expertise in fostering innovation, driving growth, and navigating the complexities of the high-tech industry.
